Fisherman's Cottage

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission in the Dardenelles still has a two bedroom timber clad cottage that it lets out to certain visitors taking a tour of the war graves.

Set in its own gardens this is a peaceful place to stay and a good base from which to explore and find out about more the Gallipoli Campaign. The beach is literally across the road from the cottage.

The facilities are very basic. There is no electricity although they have a working fridge operated by gas and it only costs £11 a night. A perfect location near the Canterbury Cemetary. You can book this accommodation through the CWGC in Cannakale. They have an office near the Pier Cafe in the main square at the ferry jetty.

Update: The Fisherman's cottage is still here as of May 2018.
